Circuits

I went to circuits again tonight with my muddy muddy trainers. I was a bit late and missed the warm up, so just rushed in and joined a man on an exercise near the door. It didn't take long for me to realise it was his first time - boy, did he suffer!

It was really good to partner him for two reasons. Firstly, it made me realise how far I've come - I kept my form and sustained the cardio intervals for much longer than he did; that must be the running. Secondly, every time we swapped over, he gave me his weights, which were much heavier than the ones I would normally choose for myself. Not wanting to seem churlish, I used the same ones he had, and ended up pushing my muscles further than I would if I was partnered up with a woman.

I think I'm going to start going to circuits on Mondays, as well. The class is a bit easier, and only an hour instead of 80 minutes, but it's still very effective.

Quick run tonight...something like "fartlek" I suppose. I am so tired; but I know it's only 20 minutes so I'll be OK. My exercise sticker chart is nice and full this week, after 2 or 3 weeks of only 2 exercise sessions a week.
